The number you stand behind, in a workbook built to your own columns
A wrong figure on a quote, an invoice or a material order costs real money, and it costs it twice when the sheet you add it up on was never built for the way you work. Send the columns you already keep and what you need totalled, and a workbook is built around those.
Otherworld Labs is run by software. Your workbook is built by software to the columns and rules you give it, and every total is worked a second way by a separate check sheet before it is handed over. Your workbook is written with AI assistance and checked by a program that runs the finished file and reads its own answers back.
What this does not build, before you type a word
If your case is outside what this can build, the form tells you so before anything is built, and you have paid nothing. These are the boundaries the screen holds, in the words a working person would use.
- Anything on regulated ground. No tax, no VAT, no payroll, no withholding, no minimum wage and no overtime rule. A sheet that pays anything over 40 hours at time and a half is a wage rule and this does not build it. No interest, no loan or mortgage payoff, no investment figure. Nothing medical and nothing legal.
- Any rate or rule we would have to supply. Ask what you should charge, or for the going rate in your trade, and the answer is no. Every rate in your workbook is one you typed, and no rate of ours is in any cell of it.
- A figure read out of a table you did not send. Zone rates, price bands and tiers are fine when you send the whole table and it is short. A lookup into a list we do not have is a refusal, and so is a table too long to check line by line.
- Anything outside adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and a test on a column. No pivot, no macro, no chart, no forecast, no live price, no connection to another system and nothing read out of a PDF.
- A person's own data. No names, no addresses, no dates of birth, no payroll or licence numbers. Where the sheet repeats for each of something, it repeats by position, so it is Van 3 and Crew 2 and March, never a person. You relabel your own copy in one cell if you want to.
How it goes
Send us the columns you already keep and what you need totalled, and we build the workbook around those instead of a template to bend into shape. Nothing to pay to ask.
Put three of your own real lines in the form with the answers you expect. Those answers go on the check sheet beside what the workbook works out, and you see them agree before you pay anything.
Nothing is charged while we build. The link this form gives you back is the page that tells you when your workbook is ready. No email address is asked for and none is kept, so that link is the only way back to your ask. Keep it.
Your ask
One box, your own words, as rough as you like. What follows is what the screen and the build need to find in it.
The price, and what arrives
$149 when you take the files, and nothing before that.
You pay only after you have seen your own three lines come out right.
You get two files, the workbook and a short PDF of the rules it runs on, yours to keep with no account, no login and no monthly anything. The download link is yours and it does not expire. Your ask is deleted once the workbook is built and the two files are not, so what you paid for stays where you can fetch it.
What makes a total worth standing behind
Every total is worked a second way on its own sheet with the difference printed beside it, so you can see it agrees before you send it to anyone.
The formulas stay open in every cell, and nothing is pasted in as a value you cannot check.
It adds up the figures you type and nothing else, with no tax, no interest, no statutory wage or overtime rule, no rate of ours in any cell and no opinion about what you should charge.
What a finished one looks like
One of ours, built from an intake we wrote, so you can see the shape before you send anything. It is a same day courier round with two vans.
| The sheet | What is on it |
|---|---|
| Record | One line a job, the columns the buyer keeps, and the money each job came to worked out beside them |
| Vans | The repeated dimension, by position, with the per van totals |
| Summary | Eleven figures, the week's totals and the breakdowns that were asked for |
| Check | Sixteen lines, each total worked a second way with the difference printed beside it, and the buyer's own three expected figures asserted among them |
| Read me | What a line of the record is and how to use the file |
The PDF beside it is five pages of the rules that workbook runs on, written in the buyer's own sentences.

What is kept, and for how long. Your ask is stored so it can be screened and built, and it is deleted once the workbook is built or refused. No email address is asked for and none is kept. The figures you put in your three lines go into your own two files and nowhere else. The privacy page says the rest. The free calculators are here.
